Letter From The Editors

Greetings Readers!

We hope everybody’s holiday season has been a great one! Antonio and I had a great time in NYC bringing in the new year. However, its back to business. His & Her Sink would like to give you guys an update on our absence for the past few weeks. As you may already know, LIM College awaits a particular NC girl in approximately 2 weeks! Which explains the tumbleweeds on the blog. Things have been pretty hectic with packing, filling out forms, arranging housing, and more boring school stuff. So guess what, yet ANOTHER move in day. January 23rd is the estimated day of arrival, so just bare with us! Believe we have some VERY exciting posts coming up in the next few months. Including new artists, events, great styling tips, and more hoodchic moments! Until then our ask box will always be attended to, feel free to request any topics, questions, or just stop by to say hey! See you all soon.

Cheers,

His&Her

Singin’ in the Rain is a 1952 American musical comedy film starring Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor and Debbie Reynolds and directed by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen, with Kelly also providing the choreography. It offers a lighthearted depiction of Hollywood, with the three stars portraying performers caught up in the transition from silent films to “talkies.”

The film was only a modest hit when first released, with O'Connor’s Best Actor win at the Golden Globes and Comden and Green’s win at the Writers Guild of America Awards being the only major recognitions. However, it was accorded its legendary status by contemporary critics. It is now frequently described as one of the best musicals ever made, topping theAFI’s 100 Years of Musicals list, and ranking fifth in its updated list of the greatest American films in 2007. Avatar is a 2009 American epic science fiction film written and directed by James Cameron, and starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, Joel David Moore, Giovanni Ribisi and Sigourney Weaver. The film is set in the mid-22nd century, when humans are mining a precious mineral called unobtanium on Pandora, a lush habitable moon of a gas giant in the Alpha Centauri star system. The expansion of the mining colony threatens the continued existence of a local tribe of Na'vi—a humanoid species indigenous to Pandora. The film’s title refers to a genetically engineered Na'vi body with the mind of a remotely located human, and is used to interact with the natives of Pandora Did I mention it was epic? Find it here.
